The Industry: The Star of the Summit VisionyOpticaTM 2026

The event was supported and attended by more than 40 companies, including sponsors and exhibitors in the Opal, Amber, and Obsidian categories. Their presence made possible a robust academic program and a comprehensive, diverse, and highly specialized trade show area.

The program took place on two main stages. The Visual Health Hall addressed topics related to optometry, clinical practice, and professional development, while the Optical Store Management Hall presented content focused on the administration, growth, and profitability of optical businesses.

One of the event’s key pillars was its academic component, which featured more than 40 speakers from Mexico and other countries in the region, who shared knowledge, experiences, and new perspectives on the main challenges and opportunities facing the visual health sector.

The trade show brought together under one roof companies representing different segments of the industry, including equipment, ophthalmic lenses, contact lenses, laboratories, frames, technology, clinical products, and optical solutions. This diversity allowed attendees to discover new offerings and enabled companies to make contacts, strengthen business relationships, and secure business opportunities during the three days of the Summit.

Among the companies with a prominent presence in the Opal category were Funky Fred, Olive Premium, H2O Optical Lenses, MEI, Johnson & Johnson, General Optics, Sophia, CooperVision, Índigo, and ML Optics (Hi Vision).

In the Amber category, participants included ASSERTO, Bausch and Lomb, ZEISS, Symcom, Younger Optics, Symcom Vision, Vision Plus, B&L, Opti Express, Lens Best, and EssilorLuxottica.

Meanwhile, the Obsidian category brought together Avizor, Buyes Optical, Ecomates, Eto Medic, YOE, Horizons Optical, IOT, IPEC, iLOVES, USO México, Penguin By Munsingwear, Eagle Eyes, Abbie, Augen, SIOU, Softirx, S4Optiks, Schneider, Gildi Eyewear, Satishoh, and Opti Representaciones.

In addition to the trade show, companies actively participated in specialized workshops, where they had the opportunity to present their products, technologies, services, and solutions, bringing innovation directly to attending professionals and students.

One of the highlights of the Summit was precisely its ability to foster business opportunities and networking between the industry and sector professionals. Participating companies found a space to strengthen business relationships, generate new contacts, and present their proposals to a highly specialized audience.

The “Summit Passport” initiative helped encourage attendees to explore the exhibition area. Throughout the event, attendees visited the booths of participating companies to collect stamps in their passports; upon completing the activity, they had the opportunity to enter raffles and win prizes at the end of the academic sessions. This initiative fostered significant interaction between attendees and exhibitors.

As part of the event, SIOU, in partnership with Summit Visión y Óptica, presented awards to three outstanding laboratories in 2026. The winners were MIURA DIGITAL LAB, GRUPO INTEGRAL ÓPTICO, and CIO NEZA – SERVICIOS INTEGRALES ÓPTICOS. The initiative was very well received by attendees and industry representatives, as it highlighted the work, innovation, and contribution of these laboratories to the development of the optical sector.

The overall assessment of the Summit VisionyOpticaTM 2026 was overwhelmingly positive. The high turnout, industry participation, the presence of more than 40 speakers, the quality of the academic program, and the networking and business opportunities made these three days an experience that fostered integration within the sector.

Once again, the Summit reaffirmed its mission to serve as a space where academia, industry, innovation, and business come together to contribute to the development and strengthening of the visual health sector.
